We flew from Hanoi to Seoul, Korea and met our friends there. My fear was 'will the tour guide be there to pick us up from the airport?'. And yes she was there. Wow, what a sign of relief!
Seoul is very modern, clean and progressive. Some say Korea is the jealous cousin of Japan. Whereas, they can lose a sporting event to anyone else in the world and that’s OK. But they would cry for days, if they lose to Japan…heheheh. While in Seoul, we had a feat over Korean BBQ, Sake and Kim-Chi. The waitress cooked the meat for you at the table. It was quite delicious.
The DMZ zone was an interesting trip. It’s only about 1 hr away from Seoul by car. It gave us a glimpse of how tension still exists between these two halves. We walked under the tunnel that was secretly dugged by the north to infiltrate the south. The ceiling was quite low, I felt sorry for tall 6-foot tourists.
