We landed in Saigon in the evening. As we were driven to town, I saw a big park near the center of the city near “Nha Tho Duc Ba” Catholic church full of young people sitting around on the ground, on the pavement curve, on the park benches, eating che, drinking ca phe… My guess was that they hung out, socialized with friends. A cheap and fun way to spend the hot, steamy evening chit-chatting, gossiping, and “hen-ho” with friends…:)
I don’t think this young generation knows much about the war anymore. Now a day, it’s the iphone, the money making scheme, the command of English are the primary objectives for them.Saigon
